(Well maybe not everyone like vegans but yeah, most people do...) Catrisa smiled at him, still a little under the sleepiness spell and smelled the sweet meat, licking her lips a bit. "Whatcha got there?" she asked casually.

"Something for you," he said with a smile. "Oh, and by the way, we'll have to just wait for Macon to wake up on his own."

Catrisa smiled and nodded. "Thank you very much, and that's quite all right with me..." she told him before taking the bucket from him and sitting at the nearest table, taking out a piece of chicken and eating it all down to the bone. What cat didn't like chicken? After a few more pieces she ate a bit of the potatoes and gravy and felt stuffed. The meal was just the perfect size.

It was anohter full hour before Macon finally awoke, he came down the staris and stared at the two of them for a while. "Why does everyone always wake up before me?"

Catrisa had thrown out the remaints of the chicken and boxes finally and headed back towards the stairs to go get ready and look more presentable. "Because we don't need as much sleep as you?" she replied with a question, not really knowing the reason why before heading upstairs. She hadn't had a shower for a couple of days, (ewww gross) and decided that it was best to get all appearances up and running. She went to the bathroom that was located near her room and warmed up the water to a proper temperature before stripping to her birthday suit and taking an acceptablely warm shower.

After she was back downstairs, Rishas corrected her on what she suggested before. "Actually, it's a survival thing. The older a vampire gets, the sooner he or she awakens. This ensures that a young upstart won't try to sneak up on us and drain us dry."

"Oh...." Catrisa said, now looking much more presentable, her hair stil glistened with water droplets, but was put up as usual in a bun, the chopsticks holding it up. "I didn't know. I just wake up whenever I feel suited enough to not be tired..." she said with a shrug. "I guess I have no part in that older and younger beings deal."

"No, but also, a demon's body is far different from ours. For instance, yours still produces things like waste, oil in your hair, new skin... A vampire's body is dead as any corpse. We still move around enough, though, so we don't get modly or rot like a zombie would." Continuing, Rishas added, "Besides that, if a vampire drains someone else, then he gains his power. A vampire's power is in his blood. When we drain someone of their blood, we get their strength. That's why the older a vampire is, the stronger they are. Always." Macon smiled a little, and made his own comment, "But no vampire would ever dream of draining another... No matter the age."

She looked at both. "I see..." she said as she thought about this. "You're saying no vampire has /ever/ done this to one another befor?"

"It happens, on occations, but few dare to do it. Humans don't like it when one murders another, and it's the same with vampires. When one vampire kills, or even TRIE to kill another, then every vampire in the world finds out in due time. All will know their name, alias, and appearance. Being dead, we can't exactly grow a moustache or beard, and our hair pretty much set the way it is. When something like that happens, anyone seeing the purpetrator has permission to kill them without consequence.

Catrisa nodded. "Oh, okay." she said with newfound understanding. The vampire world was much mnore complex then she had ever imagined it to be.

"Surprised? Things are pretty strickt... And it has to be. If humans as a whole ever learned that we existed, we wouldn't last long. They could just hunt down any coffin and open it. Each night, every room in every home would be searched and raided. It's this thought that makes us so causious. When a vampire kills another, they don't normally dispose of the corpse, so a vampire's body being found, although it's not solid proof, would be pretty bad. But don't get me wrong, the main reason for that rule is that we take the death of our brothers very deeply."

Catrisa nodded. It made sense after all. She looked at the clock and saw it was closing to seven pm. "Think we ought to leave?" she asked them. They were waisting time at the moment and could talk as they drove onward.

They also checked the time, and Macon nodded. "Yeah, I guess so. But we might need to stop along the way. I'm pretty hungry... I'll try to wait untill our destination, though."

Catrisa looked at Macon. "You sure you can wait? I mean...If you really need to..." she began and then restarted. "I owe my life and the life of my people to you to, so if you need anything...Such as a bit of blood...I'm willing to give it if you need it..." she told them.
