Macon took his wrist back, and wraped it with a bandage. He had watched her wounds fade away, and was glad that his blood worked on demons as well. This trick was originally meant for humans that a vampire might have doing things for them. Not wanting to rush her, he simply waited for her to speak.

After a few moments of having her eyes closed she looked back up at him, took a deep breath and spoke very softly. "Macon...Thank you..." she said simply. Her voice was just above a whisper. Her kidnappers had given her nothing to eat or drink in those hours that she was with them, so her voice was naturally quite weak.

"Are you feeling well enough for me to get you something to eat?" he asked. "Or should I still wait?"

She really didn't want him to leave, but if he was not leave he wasn't going to get her anything to eat or drink. It wasn't like her kidnappers were hiding in the shadows of his home, Macon would have sensed them and killed them by now. She took a deep breath and nodded before replying softly with a, "Yes please...". She could live for about half an hour being alone if need be, she felt safe at Macon's home, and with Macon.

He nodded, and soon departed after securing the windows and doors. Within a short time he returned with some Chinese food, and set it down by her on a coffee table. Taking his seat again, Macon crossed his legs and waited.

She had gained enough strength within his departure time to be able to sit up and feed herself. She didn't eat exactly slowly either. She still used proper manners but seemed to scoff down the food at the same time. She took a drink of water every now and then and continued to eat. When she was about half done she slowed down and ate a normal speed because her stomach felt not as hungry as it had moments before. When she was done, and she finished ever bit, she used a napkin to get any mess off of her face. She took a deep breath and for the first time since being rescued smiled at him. "Thank you..." she told him once again.

"It's no trouble at all," he said with a smile. More seriously, he asked, "Now then, I'd really love to hear about what happened... Who were those people?"

She sighed. "They're mortals who know about the demon realm...They also knew who I was in relation to the cat demons. That's why they were holding me ransom...But thanks to you I don't need to worry about that anymore. They also wanted me to show them the entrance to the demon realm and I refused...That's why the beat me...They wanted to go into the demon realm and take it over themselves." she explained.

Macon looked srprised at what she revealed to him. The notion of humans being even ABLE to take over such a place seemed ludicrious. "I beg your pardon, but... Wouldn't the demons in there be able to just slay them? I mean, really... I've never been there myself, but surely demons would win such a battle."

"They would if it hadn't been for a human that found the portal by a demon who thought they could trust them long ago and entered it. They found out each demon's weaknesses and wrote them down. These humans that captured me knows how to slay each and every sort of demon that was known to humans at the time the evil mortal worte it down. There have been a few different spieces made that they wouldn't know about from that time, but they are all very weak and would be hopelessly helpless..." she explained. "The mortal forgot where the portal was, so they no longer know where the portals lie..But if they found out we'd be ruined."

"I see... Well then, that is a problem." Macon stood up, and paced around the room for a little bit. "You know what I noticed, though? Vampires don't spend any time in the demon world. It was one of the things that I was taught about. Vampires prefer to spend time among mortals; to watch and toy with. I don't suppose that they'd know just how to kill me, so..." Thinking about it a little longer, he came to a conclusion.
"How about we go around tracking these people down, and killing them?"

She looked up at him. "And risk your own life? Macon, please, everyone had heard in stories how to kill a vampire. Stakes to the heart, leave them in sunlight, throw garlic at the so that they'll stay away...These mortals aren't completely stupid...And I highly doubt they haven't read any literagure on any other beings other than demons."

Macon couldn't help but laugh a little, and shook his head at her. "Those stories, my dear, are mostly false. The only one that you listed which is true is about the sunlight. Garlic? No problem. Stake through the heart? Rubish. Sure, it'd hurt, but it won't kill me. And anything you heard about crosses warding a vampire off are also bologna. Those were little stories that vampires leaked out so that mortals would feel safer. See, if they felt very threatened by us, and that there was no convenient way to keep us back, there'd be crusades to wipe my kind out!"

"But...Oh..." she said blushing slightly because she felt so stupid. "I'm sorry...Apparently demons are as gullible as mortals..." she said with a half smile.

Macon patted her on the head. "It's alright, no need to feel embarassed. But, you have to admit, it's a pretty clever trick," he said with a smirk, "So, now that you know all of that... How about my idea from before? We'd be doing the right thing to wipe those nusances out once and for all. It's never wise to let a threat that big to live."
