(Awww Crushy-Wushy's are so cute...I beginning to think Seth died...So perhaps a Crushy-Wushy is good.) She smiled slightly, noticing the heat rising in his face and nodded. "I'm sure..." she said, putting two and two together, but not quite letting on. She went back to the oven to see how the food was doing.

Adonia noticed none of this and soon enough the meal was ready. Not too burnt or too raw, just right. The cornbread smelled delicious and the chicken livers didn't look half bad after all. She placed a serving on two plates that she found and went to the table, placing them both there before going to get silver ware. "Soup's up..." she said with a smile, although there was no soup, she liked the expression.

(I think the same exact thing....Gross....) Adonia ate the chicken livers as best she could, trying to swallow them down without tasting them, which was nearly an impossible task. Every now and then she'd get rid of the horrible taste with some more cornbread and then go back to the disquesting chicken. Soon it was gone and she was thankful. Her stomach was full and she didn't even crave any more of the delicious cornbread.

Adonia thought a moment. "Well, he seemed nice enough, and weither I liked him or not I was going to marry him anyway. But I didn't quite get to know him, since that was our first day meeting one another and then you whisked me away here..." she said with a small smile. "So, in answer to that question, I'm not quite sure..."

She shrugged. "I would have gone through with it. I would have had to. No choice involved in the matter. My Father died and left many debts to our country, we needed the money and the best way was to marry another from a rich country. Now I can't do too much about it...Just hope that my country can do well enough until I return...Whenever that is. Mom was never good at running things properly..." she said as she thought back.

"Yes...But my Dad hadn't exactly choosen the most intelligent of the sort. He was always the one putting thigs together and looking after the people. The advisors they...Didn't do much advising...Let's just put it that way." she said as she looked up at Jass.

She shook her head. "I truthfully don't know. The worst that could happen is that my Mom could get so fustrated and overwhelemed that she just says forget it and all the problems pile up, waiting for me to return, if I ever do for all they know. The advisors will try their best to keep up with things that they can deal with but it'll be too much. hopefully, however my mom and the advisors can work together and get things set..." she said hoping and praying as she said this.

Adonia sighed. "Why do you work for mental cases anyway?" she asked him.

Jass raised his eyebrow questioningly. "If you can think of anyone who wants someone else dead and isn't a mental case, let me know." He went over to his book self to grab something else to read and continued, "Honestly. Any time someone wants another person dead it's because they're crazy to some degree. Sure, there are people who SAY that they want someone dead, but the ones who actually act on it are always disturbed to some degree. Oh, sure, sometimes it seems justified, but you can never really judge something like that untill you've actually killed someone. Seen the expression on their face... Both before and afterwards." He shook his head a little, and smiled grimly, "You know.. I guess that technically I'm insane, aren't I?"

Adonia shrugged. "Perhaps, but everyone is at least a little..." she said truthfully. Even she had some craziness bred into her.

(*laughs* Bred into her... Heehee... Inbreeding... *giggle*)
Jass nodded, and decided to not grab something else to read. Instead he sat down in his chair and glanced over Adonia. Out of pretty much nowhere, he said, "You're very beautiful."

Although she had figured he had at least some interest in her, she didn't expect him to say that now. She felt heat rise into her cheeks as a blush formed and she looked at him and smiled slightly. "Well thank you..." she said a bit shyly now.

Jass continued to look at her, but laughed lightly at himself. "I'm sorry, I was just thinking... I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable."

Adonia shook her head, gathering herself again. "No, it's quite alright...It's just that...People don't usually tell me that unless they feel required to, such as probable suitors that my Father had weeded through before he died when I was younger. That's the first time I know it was from the heart and not the mind..." she said with a small smile.

"Ah, then I'm glad that my statement didn't upset you or anything. You might be surprised how many women I've seen slap a man for complimenting her."
