He considered his response carefully to make sure he wasn't saying too much or too little. "Well, there's this guy. He's the reason I can't tell you anything right now. But once we get to school, some time at night, I could.. Introduce you to him, and he could talk to you. He could offer you something that you'd want, but he'd want something in return, and you'd find that you wouldn't like what he wants. It might seem like a nice deal at the time, but it won't be." He flinched a little towards the end of his statement. The burns were beginig to hurt a little. He couldn't say much else.

Jade noticed this and found this quite peculilar. "I could meet him, but I wouldn't HAVE to make and take a deal, right?" she wondered.

Nero nodded. "Right. You could refuse, but since you'd know a little more than you should, he'd still make you swear secrecy... And trust me, he'd have a way of getting back at you if you ever told someone else. It's not too hard at all, though. Just prettending nothing happened works well."

She nodded. "Alright...When should we meet?" she asked. Sounded like the guy was into some sort of dark magic. Two could play that game if need be.

Nero didn't seem to like the idea, but a certain someone told him to tell her. "Well... Tonight, at around 3 in the morning. Filch is pretty tired by then and heads back to his bed to take a quick nap so he can stalk the halls again. Oh, and meet me nearby the Ravenclaw dorm entrance."

Jade nodded and smiled. "Done." she told him before looking back out the window. She fully intended to get to the bottom of this.

Later the train stopped, everyone got situated, ate, ect... Much later, around threeish, Nero waited outside of his dorms for Jade to arrive, every now and then mumbling out loud.

Jade at three o' clock sharp, she was always very prompt, saw Nero standing by the opening to his dorm room. She smiled and looked at him. "Well, good...morning..." she said as she thought at what it exactly was. Three in the morning was no longer night, technically.

"It's still night. The sun isn't up yet," he stated. Nervously he continued, "Anyway... Filch should't be back up again for a while. Possibly more than long enough for this whole thing to be over with..." Nero let out a long sigh, and closed his eyes. The shadows seemed to take on a change, as they appeared to shift. Anywhere that sight was focused on looked normal, but everywhere else was warped ever so slightly. The darkness then began to look denser, then collected in front of her. Next and impressive visage appeared. It was the demon, Yahtne. His skin was dark grey, and almost seemed scally, but not quite. His eyes were grey, like scattered clouds on a full moon night. His hair was black, and swayed lightly around him, almost like he was underwater. The air seemed thicker, and breathing was a little harder for both Nero and Jade.
Other than the afore mentioned details, he seemed human enough in form. No horns, no wings... Just a human looking body. He wasn't grotesqu either, in fact some would say that he looked quite handsome. He smiled, and his teeth seemed magnified by the black lips that surrounded them. "So... You're the curious little human, correct?"

Jade looked him over. This wasn't exactly what she had expected, but she was still quite interested. "Yes, I am..." she said as she took in every little detail about him.

He smiled, cupped his chin in his hands, and leaned his elbows forward. They stayed as if there was a surface there, and his feet weren't even touching the ground. "So, what was it that you wanted to know?"

What was it that she wanted to know? There were so many things that were buzzing through her head right now. "Well...To begin with...Who are you? And how exactly did he wind up getting out of that pyramid?"

Yahtne hrined wider. "Well, I'll gladly tell you anything you wish to know, but only if you make a small agreement with me. In exchange for knowing what happened, who I am and... Well, ANYTHING else you could come up with; you'll just have to do what I say. Not to worry, though! I don't ask for much, and I can be quite useful to have around. Especially with the basic magic you all learn here."

Jade glanced over at Nero. He had said it wasn't pleasent having an agreement with this man. But then again, her curiousity was eating away at her from the inside out. She looked back at the man. "What sort of things might you ask of me?" she wanted to know what she might get into before she got into an agreement. Even though her family was already into the Dark Arts, she wanted to know what else she might get herself into.

He pretended to think about it, even though he already knew the answer. "Hmm... Well, not too much. Every now and then I may want something... Not much, mind you. Just a few things that should be easy enough to find. But you see, it's a little hard for me because I have a hard time maintaining my physical form." Nero was shaking his head franticlly, but luckily for him Yahtne didn't notice.
